Independent data analysis platform provider Zetaris has announced the appointment of former Standard Chartered Bank chief operating officer David Whiteing as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director. The Melbourne-based company unveiled that its a newly created role with Whiteing expected to take up notch when it comes to APAC operations and would be effective immediately.

Zetaris chairman Rob McLean said, “we are very pleased to have appointed David as our COO and director of our company. Zetaris customers and team members have much to gain from David’s extensive operational experience in developing technological solutions for numerous organisations across various sectors.”

As per the company’s statement, Whiteing’s appointment would coincide with Zetaris founder and CEO Vinay Samuel relocation  to the US “to spearhead the company’s international growth.”

He is a highly regarded business leader whose international experience and strategic mindset will help build on our strong technological platform and respond to the growing demand of our customers for efficient, protected, decentralised data.”

Prior to the appointment, Whiteing worked in Singapore for four years as Standard Chartered Bank’s COO. Work-wise, he has been a globetrotter with numerous appointments in Australia, England, Ireland and more. His previous employers include bigwigs like BP, Accenture, Standard Chartered, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and more.
